ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

JANUARY 13, 2005

7:00 P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Paula Keefe, Ellen Abelson, Richard

                  Gorden and Mark Mazur

1.  The Board reviewed and approved the minutes to our 12/16/04 meeting.

2.  The Board reviewed and approved, as amended, a submission from our office

     for the 2005 Town Reports.

3.  The Board analyzed building permit information for all of calendar 2004.  As a

     result of that analysis they revised their estimate of fiscal year 2006 new growth to

    $300,000.

4.  The Board signed a letter to Town Administrator, Ben Puritz, informing him of their

     revised new growth estimate for fiscal year 2006.

5.  The Board read a notice concerning a meeting by the Government Study Committee

     and the Board of Selectmen scheduled for tonight.  It concerns possible changes to the

     Town’s form of government.

6.  The Administrative Assessor described his meeting on 1/6/05 with the Priorities

     Committee concerning the funding of our fiscal year 2007 revaluation.  They seemed

     inclined to fund it through our fiscal year 2006 budget but did not vote on the matter.

7.  The Administrative Assessor explained that the Board of Selectmen is interested in

       reconsidering the Supplemental Tax Assessment on New Construction.   The

      Selectmen want to meet with the Board of Assessors and listen to their

      recommendation on the issue.  The Board discussed the issue and then voted to

      recommend that the Selectmen not adopt the Supplemental Tax Assessment on

      New Construction.

8.   The Administrative Assessor and Mr. Gorden reported to the Board about the results

      of their meeting last week with a group of abatement applicants from Arboro Drive

      and Circle Way.

9.   The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2005 applications for abatement

      on the following real estate parcels:
